September 15 through October 15, 2024, is National Hispanic Heritage Month. The observation and celebration of this month aligns with the Co-op’s Value of Community:
We value a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community. We are dedicated to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community by actively engaging with individuals from different backgrounds, advocating for equal opportunities, and fostering an environment of respect, acceptance, and belonging.
One of the ways the Co-op actively engages and advocates for an inclusive community is through our Inclusive Trade product designation. The purpose of this designation is to promote brands that we sell that are led or owned by individuals from historically and currently underrepresented communities.
We look to build this category of products in our offerings by seeking out brands owned by minorities and others and sharing that information with our shoppers. In doing so, they can choose products that align with their values.
