Red, White, & Chew Frankfurter Face-Off! (Yes We’re Totally Serious Right Now.)

Our friends with the Town of Hanover are celebrating their 30th Annual Old-Fashioned Fourth of July on Saturday, and they’re bringing all the wholesome, family-friendly fun you can shake a sparkler at. Games! Crafts! Community spirit!

We, on the other hand, are bringing the drama.

Introducing the Co-op’s first-ever Red, White, & Chew Frankfurter Face-Off! This is a brand-new, adults-only, highly specialized athletic event designed to answer one crucial question: Who can devour 10 hot dogs the fastest?

It’s a race against the clock, a test of human endurance, and a beautiful, chaotic celebration of tubular meats.

Coming July 9: Small Grains & Big Questions

It’s time to talk grains! Join Professor Bruce James of Sustainable Lebanon to dig into one of the most common (and surprisingly fascinating) parts of our diets. We’ll explore why these pantry staples matter, bust a few myths, and discover how a few simple choices can have a ripple effect for sustainable agriculture and the climate.

Thursday, July 9, 3 p.m., Lebanon Co-op Learning Center. Drop-ins welcome!
