We Want You to Run for Our Board of Directors

Thank you for your interest in your Co-op’s Board!

Our Board welcomes one and all. Diverse backgrounds and big ideas enrich our work. All we ask is that you attend monthly meetings, take the work seriously, and support these values:

  • the well-being of our employees and their families, • a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community,
  • a resilient local food system and economy, and
  • making a positive environmental impact.

About the Co-op

We’ve been around since 1936. We’re made up of 3 food stores, 2 auto service centers, and a resource center. We have more than 25,000 members and nearly 350 employees.

About the Board

The Co-op Board monitors operations via Policy Governance®. This means the Board sets the vision, but it doesn’t run the stores. In 2025, 12 members will serve on the Board, and 5 seats will be up for election. Three of these are open to employees.

To thank our Board members for serving, the Co-op provides a yearly stipend toward Co-op purchases.
