Return Policy
Thank you for shopping at the Co-op Food Stores. Right now at least one person on our team is celebrating this sales victory!
If you aren’t completely thrilled with your purchase, or if your cat Thanos didn’t like the artisanal gourmet kibble you got for him, no worries. Our return policy is so terrifyingly generous it makes an accountant sweat.
The Timeline
You’ve got 30 days from purchase date to bring stuff back to any location. (We know, right? How convenient is that?) Stop by our Customer Relations Desk first, or go to a checkout if the desk is closed.
Got a Receipt?
Well that makes it easy! Credit card purchases go right back to the card. If you paid by check, over $10 gets a gift card; under $10 gets cash. (Sorry, these are Co-op gift cards only. You can’t spend it at Denny’s or T.J. Maxx.)
No Receipt?
Life happens. If you forgot your paper receipt, don’t sweat it. If we can easily retrieve it through our register system, you’re good to go. Under $10 gets cash, while $10 or more gets a gift card.
Alcohol Rules (NH/VT Law)
Alcohol must go back to the exact store you bought it from. Receipts are mandatory (no receipt, no return). Please make sure an adult is making the return. Legally minors are not allowed to handle products containing alcohol or leave the store with them
Where Does the Product Go?
Good non-perishables go straight back to the shelf. Perishables go to their home department to keep inventory happy.
