The King Award

2025–2026 Recipient: J.B. McCann

Congratulations to the fabulous J.B. McCann, this year’s recipient of the Allen and Nan King Award! The King Award honors a Co-op employee who exemplifies the spirit of cooperation, and recipients are chosen by their fellow employees each year. J.B. works in our Lebanon store, where he is beloved by coworkers and customers alike.

The late Allen and Nan King joined the Co-op in 1941. They were active Co-op members for more than 50 years, serving as Board members and presidents and bringing lively discussion and sage points of view to decades of annual meetings.

All King Award recipients select a local nonprofit, which receives a $500 check from the Co-op in their honor. J.B. chose the Upper Valley Haven, which comes as no surprise
